With or without power?

There are various types of water softeners. For example, you could opt for a non-electric water softener. Although we do stock a non-electric softener, we’re not big fans of them (See the disadvantages of electricity-free water softeners). As an electric water softener adds smart features (such as a salt alert and holiday mode), these softeners are smarter and more efficient. So you’ll easily recoup the 2 euros you spend on electricity each year.

Salt consumption

Not every water softener uses the same amount of salt. There is certainly a difference depending on whether you use expensive salt blocks or, as with almost all our water softeners, cost-effective salt tablets. To include or not to include a disinfection module

However, there are a few differences. For example, the Excellent has a few more technical features and is slightly more economical with salt. On the other hand, the Comfort is slightly more affordable.
