Do I need a pressure booster with a water softener?
The answer is simple. A water softener The Mooiwater is no reason to buy a pressure booster. In fact, the Mooiwater water softeners are known for causing hardly any loss of pressure. However, if you already have low water pressure or are planning to buy a rain shower, for example, the Mooiwater and Mini Booster will give you an extra water pressure of at least 1 bar. It’s lovely when you’re standing under your rain shower.
Why is a gentle stream of water coming out of my tap or shower?
There may be various reasons for this. It may be down to the difference in height. Too great a difference in height reduces the water pressure. It may also be down to the way the pipes are laid in your home. A large number of bends or narrow pipes can also lead to a loss of pressure.
Of course, it may also be that your shower head is clogged with limescale. If you don’t have a water softener, you’re probably showering with hard water. Cleaning the shower head will restore a stronger water flow. However, if you don’t tackle the root cause, limescale will continue to build up in your shower head. Of course, you’re always dependent on the pressure supplied by the water company. If the water entering your home is already at too low a pressure, a pressure booster usually won’t help either. That’s why, during installation, we always test the pressure both before and after fitting the water pressure booster. If it turns out that it really is of no use, we’ll take the booster back with us and, apart from the call-out charge, you won’t incur any costs.
