Technical differences between water softeners

The simplest and cheapest water softeners are the time-controlled water softeners. They soften the water effectively but regenerate at fixed intervals, for example after fifteen days. If, for example, you are on holiday, the flushing process simply continues, even though it is not necessary. So although the resin’s capacity is usually far from being exhausted, the system will still regenerate, resulting in excessive salt consumption. The timer-controlled water softener therefore does its job; it is cheap to buy but expensive to run.

As well as time-controlled water softeners, there are a number of other types of water softeners all of which have their pros and cons. We supply water softeners that operate on a time- and volume-proportional basis. These offer the best value for money.

Annual costs

The annual costs for the cheaper time-controlled water softeners are easily twice as high (€80 per year) as those for the softeners controlled by a combination of time and volume (€40 per year). So you’ll recoup that cost very quickly.

Our water softeners are not only the most economical to run, they also feature advanced technology. This makes them extremely user-friendly. Our bypass It is patented and is easy to use. You never need to check whether the salt needs topping up, as the system alerts you. All our water softeners also feature a holiday mode to prevent any bacterial growth to prevent.

Water softeners in various sizes

Mooiwater offers water softeners in various sizes. From small From small to large; they are all capable of softening your daily water consumption. However, if your consumption is higher, we recommend choosing a larger water softener. This is mainly for ease of use. A small fridge, for example, works well enough, but you’ll need to top it up frequently if you have a larger household. The same applies to water softeners. Smaller softeners need to be flushed more often, and the salt needs to be topped up more frequently. So it’s a matter of convenience. Furthermore, the capacity of a water softener that is too small is fully utilised every time, and this can have long-term consequences for the resin.

Please note the warranty terms and conditions

At Mooiwater, we have clear warranty terms. So you won’t be faced with any surprises. We offer a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty (including 2 years’ all-inclusive cover). This warranty is valid for warranty and maintenance contract extend it for up to 20 years. If you take out this subscription, we’ll visit you every two years for a service, and if any problems arise in the meantime, we’ll come and sort them out. You pay nothing for parts, call-out charges or labour. The annual cost of the subscription covers all of this. Straightforward, isn’t it? Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. It may well be that a ten-year warranty only covers the parts, whilst call-out charges and labour costs still have to be paid in the event of a breakdown. That can end up costing you a fair bit. That’s why we advise you to pay close attention and be sure to read the small print carefully.

Furthermore, we place great importance not only on product quality but also on the service we provide. We receive very high customer ratings, and we’re proud of that.
