From purchase to installation

As well as purchasing the water softener, the descaler will of course need to be installed. We can take care of this for you, but you can also choose to do it yourself. What does this involve, and what do you need to bear in mind when installing a water softener?

For example, where do you put the water softener? In the meter cupboard? In the crawl space? Or somewhere else? But also: where do you connect the water softener? And what do you do about the drain? We’ve put together an overview for you below. 

Installation of a water softener

Installation

We’ll then get to work and won’t leave until the water softener is up and running. Some customers tell us afterwards that they were a bit apprehensive about the installation. If you’re also feeling a bit apprehensive about the installation, we can put your mind at ease. The installation is almost always completed within a few hours and causes little to no disruption. We deliver the water softener fully operational and leave everything tidy. Once we’ve finished the installation, we’ll give you a brief explanation of how it works and hand over the accompanying information booklet. After that, all you need to do is, once every 1 to 6 months (depending on your water consumption and water hardness) top up the salt.

In short, minimal or no disruption during installation, and you can enjoy a limescale-free home straight away beautiful water. It’s as simple as that.

Where is the water softener installed?

The water softener is connected as close as possible to the water meter, so that you have soft water throughout your home. You’ll work with our adviser to decide on the best location for the water softener. The meter cupboard is often chosen as the best location for the water softener. 

Next to the water meter, we have a drainage needed. We always know where to find those too, and we build a great relationship with them. And, of course, we tidy everything away properly.

Thanks to our many years of experience, we always find a suitable solution. There’s always a spot where a water softener can be installed. As the Mooiwater water softener is so economical, you don’t need to top it up very often, but of course you still need to be able to access it easily. In addition, the Mooiwater has the the smallest water softener models which are available in the Netherlands, meaning we can install the water softener almost anywhere.

In addition, Mooiwater has recently introduced the wall-mounted water softener. This water softener is easy to install and can be mounted in the meter cupboard or wherever you like. It also consists of two parts, meaning it will almost always fit somewhere.

We supply the water softener complete with all the installation parts and a handy instruction manual. If you do find yourself stuck, we’ll be happy to help.
