The difference in costs

Water pressure boosters come in all shapes and sizes. As a result, their prices can vary considerably. Each pressure booster can increase the water pressure in your home by a different number of bar. The price difference between pressure boosters depends on the following factors:
  • Format
  • Number of bars
  • Running costs
  • Customer request
  • Differences in technique*
*An explanation of the difference in technique:
The Mini Booster has a standard pressure boost. This increases the pressure by 1.2 bar increases the pressure and allows it to be distributed when several taps are open at the same time. This is often enough to provide that little bit of extra pressure that makes your rain shower so enjoyable.
The Dab E.sybox maintains a set working pressure (even when several taps are open). The pressure remains constant at every tap. During installation, the (maximum) final pressure required by the customer is set. The E.sybox ensures that this final pressure is always reached, regardless of how many taps you turn on.

What factors determine the price of a water pressure booster?

Water pressure boosters come in all shapes and sizes. The cost of pressure boosters is determined by various factors, such as:

  • Format: compact models are often better value for money than more powerful systems;
  • Number of bars: the greater the pressure increase, the higher the price;
  • Running costs: energy consumption varies by model and affects the total cost;
  • Your requirements: depending on your needs, you can choose between a basic or premium model.

There are also technical differences between models, meaning that some pressure boosters distribute the pressure more efficiently across multiple taps. This allows you to use several appliances at the same time without any loss of pressure. The Mini Booster For example, it has a standard pressure boost, whereby the pressure increases by 1.2 bar is increased. This pressure can be distributed across several taps at the same time. The DAB E.sybox ensures a constant pressure, regardless of the number of taps left running.

The running costs of our water pressure boosters

As well as the purchase price, there are other costs you need to take into account. Fortunately, water pressure boosters are energy-efficient and only use electricity when necessary. By making the right choice, you’ll save on both the purchase price and running costs, whilst enjoying optimal water pressure. Below, we’ve summarised the features and power consumption of our two models:

Mooiwater has two pressure boosters in its range: the DAB EsyBox Mini and the MiniBooster. In standby mode, these pressure boosters consume 4W and 1W respectively. When actually increasing the pressure, they consume 280W and 245W respectively.

The total annual energy consumption for the EsyBox, based on average usage, will therefore amount to around 75 kWh/year (at current prices, approximately €30/year). For the MiniBooster, this will amount to around 45 kWh/year (at current prices, approximately €18/year).

In short, the same applies to both pressure boosters: great value for money.
