How do you remove limescale?

Limescale stains in the shower, on the tap or on your bathroom tiles? Removing this build-up is a tedious job. You can descale using cleaning vinegar. And as well as a Buy a water softener, here are three more ways to limescale to remove.

 

Descaling with cleaning vinegar

A good way to limescale Cleaning vinegar is the best way to remove it. You can also use natural vinegar for this, diluting it with water if necessary. However, cleaning vinegar works faster because it is more acidic.

Please note! However, be careful with chrome. Pure vinegar can leave unsightly stains on chrome-plated taps. Vinegar also damages silicone seals.

4 more ways to remove limescale

Lemon juice

Lemon juice can also be used to remove limescale. Acid is the enemy of limescale. However, cleaning vinegar is much cheaper.

Cola

It might sound strange, but even cola can be used to remove limescale. Cola contains a lot of acid and is therefore suitable for cleaning, for example, the inside of your toilet bowl lime to get rid of.

Fabric conditioner

You can also use fabric conditioner to remove limescale from bathroom tiles. Pour a capful of fabric conditioner into half a bucket of warm water, then wipe down the tiles with the mixture. Leave it to soak in for a while and finally rinse thoroughly with hot water.

Water softener

But the easiest way to remove limescale from your bathroom is to prevent it from forming in the first place. A water softener, also known as descaler works wonders in this respect. With a water softener, you’ll no longer have to worry about limescale and you’ll enjoy the benefits of soft water. Any existing limescale deposits will also disappear over time, as limescale-free water absorbs limescale.
