Fact: A remote control for a water softener is very handy

Normally, you don’t have to worry about your water softener. All you need to do is top up the salt in the salt container every now and then (once every 1–4 months). If your water softener is easily accessible, the system will alert you both visually and audibly when it’s time to top up the salt (except for the Duplex model).

If the water softener is difficult to access – for example, in a crawl space – it’s a nuisance having to check whether there’s still enough salt. In situations like this in particular, a remote control is very handy (in fact, a must) because it is directly connected to the water softener and indicates, both on the screen and via an audible signal, that it is time to top up the salt.

Other data, such as water consumption, holiday mode, etc. can be read effortlessly.
