We are often asked about the capacity of our water softeners, because, after all, we have several types and sizes, so how does it actually work? The main thing to bear in mind is that the maximum volume of water that can flow through the water softener per minute is softened. If you were to turn on all the taps in your house at the same time, flush the toilet, start the dishwasher and so on, the total volume of water flowing through the pipes would be around 40 litres per minute. Every water softener we supply has sufficient capacity to handle this volume of water per minute, even the Mini. So you’ll never need to worry about this aspect.

So why, then, do we still water softeners in various sizes There’s a completely different reason for this. It’s just like a fridge: a small fridge cools perfectly well, of course, but it’s simply not very practical for a large family. So, from the point of view of ease of use, it makes sense to choose a water softener size that suits your usage.

All you need to do as a user is top up the salt; apart from that, you don’t have to worry about a thing – but naturally, you don’t want to have to do that too often. So be sure to choose a water softener that suits your usage. But suppose this water softener is over your budget or simply doesn’t fit where you’d like to have it; in that case, there are two options. You can either do without the water softener or simply opt for a smaller one. The choice is yours.
