Fabel: Zacht water is corrosief en slecht voor de leidingen<\/h1>\n

Zacht water<\/a> is zacht voor jouw leidingen net als voor jouw huid. Het zou toch raar zijn dat dermatologen een waterontharder aanraden als je last hebt van bijvoorbeeld eczeem maar dat je leidingen daar niet tegen zouden kunnen.<\/p>\n

Hoe komt dit fabeltje dan in de wereld? Heel eenvoudig zacht water wordt verward met zuur water. Zuur water veroorzaakt corrosie in uw leidingen maar zacht water is geen zuur water. Zacht water is neutraal (pH tussen 7 en 8), net als hard water<\/a>.\u00a0 Dat de calcium- en magnesiumionen in ontkalkt water vervangen worden door natriumionen verandert niets aan de zuurgraad (pH-neutraal).<\/p>\n

Corrosief water is water dat licht zuur is en dus niet pH-neutraal. Corrosief (zuur) water tast de leidingen wel aan (corrosievorming). Zuur water en ontharden van water hebben niets met elkaar te maken.<\/p>\n
